Who we are

What we collect
When you place an order: your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number if you give one, and the contents of the order. Your card number goes straight to the payment processor. It never reaches us and we never see it.
When you join the newsletter: your email address, and the date you subscribed.
When you email us: whatever is in the message.
Who processes it
Shopify hosts the store, the cart, and the checkout, and stores customer and order records on our behalf. Shopify Payments processes card payments. Shipping carriers receive the name and address needed to deliver the package.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside that list.
Cookies and tracking
This site runs no third-party advertising or analytics trackers. The only thing it keeps in your browser is a cart identifier, so your cart survives a refresh.
The checkout is hosted by Shopify and sets its own cookies to keep the session and prevent fraud. Shopify's privacy policy covers those.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years, because tax rules require it. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
Your choices
Email hello@brooklynoutdoordad.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We will confirm the request and act on it within 30 days. Deleting order records we are legally required to keep is the one thing we cannot do.
Children
This store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
